If you often use Lotus Notes Fat Client applications and want to integrate security with any domino-based webapplication using the http server task, this is a nice new way to implement easy single sign on, so that the user does not have to log on multiple times.
The notes-session can even be used to authenticate to the http task in such a way, that the user does not even recognize, that he is logged on to the domino server in the process.
I am just reposting these links here, as the original description is not to be found as an intuitive solution to this problem, and i have searched for this a lot.
